Literary Quotes
From novels, plays and suchlike. This will probably be one of many installments. I quite like quotes, you see...

Jeff Buckley
Since today would have been Jeff's birthday, I thought I'd post an entry concerning my favourite musician. I entertained the idea of posting a list of my favourite Jeff songs, but it felt to me how it would feel to a mother choosing between her children. Jane Eyre Quotes
I believe Jane Eyre to be one of the greatest stories ever written, and tonight, I was looking at my copy, just reading favourite parts, when I decided I simply had to make a list of my favourite quotes and excerpts from the book. So here they are:

"I sometimes have a queer feeling with regard to you - especially when you are near me, as now: it is as if I had a string somewhere under my left ribs, tightly and inextricably knotted to a similar string situated in the corresponding quarter of your little frame. And if that boisterous channel, and two hundred miles or so of land come broad between us, I am afraid that cord of communion will be snapt; and then I've a nervous notion I should take to bleeding inwardly." - Mr. Rochester.
2. "You - you strange - you almost unearthly thing! - I love as my own flesh." - Mr. Rochester.

Favourite Poems
I enjoy poetry, particularly classical poetry, so I decided to devise a list of my favourite poems. Deciding what should be at the top spot was very easy, as I know it off by heart and regard it as my favourite poem. I shall accompany each one with a stanza from it, or if it's a short poem, the whole piece.
1. Ulalume by Edgar Allan Poe.
Thus I pacified Psyche and kissed her,
And tempted her out of her gloom,
And conquered her scruples and gloom;
And we passed to the end of the vista,
But were stopped by the door of a tomb,
By the door of a legended tomb:
And I said "What is written sweet sister,
On the door of this legended tomb?"

Debut
So, this is my blog. A collection of lists I make to calm my overflowing mind. That, and I enjoy it immensely :) I make lists when the mood strikes, and they're all very random. At the moment, I'm working my list of 'Favourite Albums' so I hope to have that posted anon.
